At the beginning of September 2026, the Summer School on Advanced Technologies for Synthesis and Process Intensification was successfully completed as the final workshop of the FlowCat project.
Research Exchange at the University of Graz
At the end of July and beginning of August 2026, Tadej Menegatti (UL FKKT) carried out a research exchange at the University of Graz, focusing on the enzymatic functionalization of 2-hydroxyoctanoic acid. The work provided promising results for aqueous acylation and valuable insights for future enzyme immobilization and continuous-flow applications, while further strengthening the collaboration between UL FKKT and the University of Graz.
IMTB 2026 Successfully Concluded
The 8th IMTB Conference – Implementation of Microreactor Technology in Biotechnology (IMTB 2026) – has successfully concluded in Bled, bringing together researchers and experts from around the world to exchange knowledge and discuss the latest advances in microreactor technology, flow chemistry, bioprocess engineering, and related fields. The conference was the second public event organized within the FlowCat project, following the project’s commitment to bringing together the research community and promoting the exchange of knowledge in flow chemistry and related technologies.
FlowCat Meeting of Steering, Executive, and Management Committee with Advisory Board Held in June 2026
Following the IMTB 2026 conference, members of the FlowCat Steering Committee, Executive Committee, and Advisory Board met in a hybrid meeting to review the progress of the project and discuss key developments.
The meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on the outcomes of the recent mid-term review, address the recommendations received, and discuss priorities for the coming period. The partners also agreed on the next steps and actions needed to ensure the successful continued implementation of the FlowCat project.
